How can I be admitted to ESMA?

Two access routes.

There are two ways of joining ESMA once you’ve passed your A-levels, depending on your profile and your level of mastery of the applied arts.

  • A preparatory year

    If you have your baccalauréat or an equivalent level 4 diploma, you can join one of ESMA’s courses by taking a bridging year: our preparatory years consist of a technical and theoretical refresher course to enable students to keep up with the demands and levels expected in the higher years of our specialities.

  • Joining a training course directly

    You can join one of our courses straight away, without going through a preparatory year, but only if you already have a solid artistic and technical grounding. Armed with a portfolio, your determination and a successful entrance test, all that’s left for you to do is let your creativity shine!
