Thibaut Malet bubbles with ideas. This former student which graduated in 2010 from the BTS in Space Design, always tries to push his imagination to the limit on each project, and explores as many materials as possible.
That’s how he discovered one of his flagship materials: wood. He is now back in France, after a stint in London, and defines himself as a cabinetmaker designer.
His creative ideas led him to be a finalist in the European “Adream” competition in 2012, a contest dedicated to innovative building materials. He made his first steps at the Comptoir de l’architecture agency, in Pérols.
His personal work is a mixture between architecture, furniture design and sculpture.
He takes into consideration the advantages and constraints of wood to use it in all its forms, and always pushes the limits imposed by this material.
