ESMA students at the heart of a creative epicentre

One of Montreal’s most emblematic neighbourhoods, Mount Royal has an artistic and creative soul that is perfect for ESMA students. Home to many professionals in the world of visual arts, animation and the creative industries, the neighbourhood is highly conducive to the courses taught at the school and the careers it prepares students for. Thanks to this dynamic environment, students are able to develop their artistic sense and a greater understanding of professional issues, and are optimally prepared to enter an exciting, innovative and constantly evolving sector of activity. The fact that ESMA is housed in the former ExCentris building, an illustrious cultural and cinematographic centre renowned for the crucial role it played in promoting independent and auteur cinema, reinforces this reality. By moving into this building, ESMA is perpetuating this heritage, providing an inspiring and stimulating setting for its students.

Our equipment

Cutting-edge equipment, emulation dynamics and support

Covering an area of almost 3,000m², which it shares with the Pivaut art school and Collège Marsan, ESMA Montréal welcomes its students to a legendary building that it has occupied since 2021. Students benefit from top-of-the-range facilities: two lecture theatres, six modular classrooms and six computer laboratories equipped with the latest PCs and all the essential digital creation software. These assets, enriched by the dynamic of emulation and excellence created by the cohabitation of the Creative Schools, make ESMA Montréal a unique place, designed for the fulfilment of each individual. To reinforce this reality and promote the well-being, integration and fulfilment of its students, the school also provides them with a comprehensive support service. This support is essential to facilitate the steps that are essential to their success, including financial aid, technical and IT support, job placement services, administrative procedures and teaching support.
