A Game DESIGNER on the rise

Geoffrey has come a long way since graduating in 2019! Three years of study at the Toulouse campus, combined with unfailing motivation, enabled this young game designer to join the Larian studio in Belgium as an intern. Once his assignment was completed, he moved on to a sunnier but no less active destination, the city of Nice, where the Wolcen studios were working on completing the game of the same name. With a solid year’s experience under his belt, he was finally able to join Ubisoft Montpellier’s huge team working on the French studio’s next bombshell: Beyond Good and Evil 2. And that’s just the beginning!

On the pprogramme : Video games professions, the industry, anecdotes and experience sharing

Geoffrey Tichadelle, a former ESMA Video Game student, will be giving a free online conference on 19 April 2023.

He will give a brief overview of the most common jobs in the video game industry, and in particular his own job, that of game designer. This will be followed by a discussion with two of our current students, and then a series of questions and answers with the online audience.

As a Game Designer, Geoffrey interacts with the other players in the studio, a flexibility and experience that he will be sharing through his story and a few juicy anecdotes. An overview that promises to be interesting for our students and the public !
