La France Design Week is a not to be missed event that celebrates design in all its forms. The aim of this national event, held every year in September, is to showcase French design, highlight emerging talent and encourage exchanges between professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts. It's a unique opportunity to showcase design in all its diversity through exhibitions, conferences, round tables and much more.   For ESMA, taking part in such an event is of particular importance. It's an opportunity for the public to discover the exceptional work of our Graphic Design and Space Design (Interior Architecture) students.

From complexity to simplicity

ESMA has always stood out for the quality of its teaching and the rigour of its courses. Taking part in France Design Week is a fabulous opportunity to demonstrate the expertise of our students and teachers. It is also an ideal opportunity for the general public, future students and professionals in the sector to discover our courses through exhibitions of work produced by our students.

This participation reflects our desire to remain at the cutting edge of trends and innovations in the field of design. This year’s theme, ‘From complexity to simplicity’, resonates particularly with our educational vision. In an increasingly complex world, knowing how to keep things simple without distorting a project is an art that our students strive to master.

Exhibition at the Toulouse campus: ‘Est-ce que c’est pas trop simple?’

From 16 to 20 September, our Toulouse campus will be hosting a captivating exhibition based around the question ‘Isn’t it too simple?’. This question, which often comes up when conceiving a design project, is the starting point for an in-depth exploration of our students’ creative processes.

Through a selection of projects from the Graphic Design and Motion Design sections at ESMA Toulouse, visitors will have the opportunity to discover how our students tackle complex problems to come up with creative and elegant solutions. The exhibition is intended to be a real journey into the minds of future designers, where simplicity is never synonymous with ease, but rather the fruit of intense reflection and a mastery of the fundamentals of design.

The projects on show reflect this intellectual approach, showing how simplicity can become a powerful tool for tackling complex issues. Whether through posters, animations or other visual aids, each work presented illustrates the importance of simplifying without losing the essence of the project.
