Selection of a student game at the Big Festival in Sao Paulo ! 

Latin America’s biggest video game festival

It’s a new selection for Oh Sheep !. The video game has just been selected in the “Student Games” category of the BIG Festival, to be held in Sao Paulo from 28 June to 2 July 2023. This festival, which is the flagship event for video games in Latin America, attracted nearly 30,000 video game enthusiasts in 2022 and 1.6 million online participants! These figures are constantly increasing, and are set to break records again this year. The event offers a fantastic opportunity for all gamers to try out new video games, and even talk to their developers.

Established in 2012, the Brazil International Games (BIG) Festival has built up a solid credibility over the years, to become today the most important video game festival and market in Latin America. This year’s event will feature almost 200 games and 50 new releases, representing the work of both independent developers and major international publishers. This year’s event will also bring together influencers from the world of gaming, and will feature almost 120 hours of conferences and talks on a variety of themes.

A wacky universe that’s being emulated

Oh Sheep, created in 2022 by Joseph RONZIER, Elvis GUERNION, Kevin NABOT, Yann LAFORGE, Mathieu CHAFFRE, Antoine RENOU, Ugo TABONE, Etienne BENOIT and Simon ROBERT, follows the adventures of Placidie, a young woman who finds herself thrown into an unfamiliar place, with exotic colours and graphics, and who tries by all means to find her family. The player accompanies her on this quest, and can count on the support of the sheep to help her succeed. It’s a slightly madcap universe that charmed the BIG Festival selection committee. No surprising, given that this is the same team that won the ETPA 2022 Grand Prize (ETPA will become ESMA in September 2023).
