The 3D1 students had to represent a room without occupant but where the arrangement of the different elements, the symbolic details, and the staging of the light must give it life and inform us about the identity of its occupant.

The idea

It is to represent a room without occupant but where the arrangement of the various elements, the symbolic details, and the staging of the light must give it life and inform us about the identity of its occupant.

The scene

It must be narrative and tell a story. What is the temporality? What does the movement of lighting tell us? How to make a mysterious and meaningful atmosphere?

The imposed technique

It’s black and white cutout, ie no enhancement or frame or gradient, just black and white net. Vertical format imposed to induce a constraint of composition and a homogeneity in the renderings.
