Flagrante delicto or investigative office

Flagrante delicto and investigation are terms that are regularly used when talking about police matters.

For example, when an offence is committed before someone’s very eyes, it is called flagrante delicto. The police and judicial authorities generally open an in-depth investigation during which the police and the judge try to establish the facts in the context of the case before the offender is brought to justice.

Based on this theme, the students in the Prépa Entertainment class in Lyon were asked to work in teams to translate these special moments using their graphic style and imagination.

TOPIC

In a space 70 cm long and 20 cm wide, imagine a stage set (character sets). On this miniature stage, capture an instantaneous situation, a snapshot, a frozen action that could be a flagrante delicto or an investigation

Be relevant both in the choice of situation and in the strength of the graphic style chosen. Be clever in stabilising your sets and characters. Be refined in the production, the cut-outs and the cleanliness of the rendering.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

This exercise teaches students to work as a team and to coordinate in order to make it a reality, both in terms of managing tasks and deadlines.

The aim of the project was to make it a reality in 3D, so the students had to think about the creativity of both the situation and the sets/characters. They also had to think about the graphic style and how it could be harmonised.
